After almost a year of suffering with various stomach issues, with little respite from traditional medicines, I decided to drastically overhaul my diet in the hope of gaining a better understanding of my individual issues and to help heal myself. I fully committed myself to the low FODMAP diet and although daunting at first, the benefits outweighed the negatives as I began to notice symptom relief within the week. A year later and I’m still learning new things about the FODMAP diet and how to deal with IBS which is why I decided to start The Fairy Fodmother blog; a record of my findings, hints and tips to share with fellow sufferers who are as confused about FODMAPs as I once was.
